Meet The Team

Pastor Larry Gipson

Larry Gipson bio 2.JPG

Larry Gipson is the pastor and founder of Springs of Life. His calling is to point people to Jesus, whose radical love knows no bounds. He has a Bachelors of Arts in Religious Studies and a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Biblical Interpretation and has served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ukraine.

He first discerned a call to church-planting in seminary in Atlanta. But he also felt the Holy Spirit convict him of the need to prepare himself, so for seven years he served established churches in Boston, Dallas, and Greensboro. After moving to central Texas, he discovered the need for an inclusive faith community that would reach unchurched younger adults and began gathering the launch team for Springs of Life.

Outside of ministry, Larry is the husband to Kelsey Spinnato, Assistant Professor of Theology at Texas Lutheran University

Larry is also the dog-dad to Emory, a seventeen pound rescue mutt. He loves powerlifting, running, graphic novels, horror movies, gluten-free baking, and great local coffee.

As our pastor, Larry is responsible for leading our church to fulfill its mission to grow fruitful followers of Jesus by worshipping God, seeking justice, and gathering in authentic community. He reports to the Council and ultimately to the congregation as a whole.

Jessy Napier

Worship Leader

Jessy Napier has been playing music and signing in church since she was 5 years old.  Growing up in the Methodist and Presbyterian church she often felt disillusioned at the teachings of Christ being one thing on Sunday but what people said and lived being so in contrast to that.  She grew away from the church until her husband became a worship leader and she became a weekly addition to a music team.  For the last 20 years Jessy has been involved in music ministry in one way or another.  Either through church, through playing gigs with her band or playing solo songwriter gigs.  Jessy believes that music and nature are two of the most powerful ways God reveals itself to all of its creation.  She is so honored to be a piece of Springs of Life.
